LZ Lambeau: Welcoming Home Wisconsin's Vietname Veterans, May 2010
LZ Lambeau Volunteer Form

Thank you for you interest in volunteering at LZ Lambeau.  Your contribution is both appreciated and necessary to make this a successful and meaningful event.  There are several activities from which you or your group can choose to volunteer.

Greeting Veterans and Visitors (FULL):  As our visitors are entering LZ Lambeau, our goal is to shake each Veteran’s hand, welcome them to the event and thank them for their service.  The volunteer will need to be capable of standing and shaking hands for the length of the shift.

Assisting with school groups on Education Day, Friday May 21 (FULL):  Volunteers will help direct school groups to the displays and restrooms.  Volunteer may need to stand for the duration of the shift.

Sales Booths (FULL): Packaging merchandise, helping customers, restocking merchandise as needed, but not handling transactions.  May include carrying boxes from 5-10 pounds.

Information Booth (FULL): Providing information about Veterans’ organizations around the state.  Pamphlets and brochures will be provided. Volunteer will be able to sit occasionally during the shift.

Military Vehicle and Military Aircraft Displays (FULL): Along with directing visitors, we hope volunteers will know basic information about the aircraft.  Some volunteers will be needed to help with the security of the vehicles, aircraft and any paraphernalia that is displayed. Most volunteers need to be mobile.

Set Up, May 17-21:  Preparing the Lambeau grounds for the event.  This will include but is not limited to stocking merchandise booths, setting up chairs and tables, and setting up displays. This volunteer position may require lifting and carrying heavy objects.

Tear down and Clean up, May 24-25: Dismantling the site after the event.  This will include but is not limited to tearing down displays, repacking merchandise, loading and moving things, taking down signs and general clean up activities.  This volunteer position may require lifting and carrying heavy objects.

Parking:  Directing cars to parking spaces.  Volunteer will need to stand for the length of the shift.

Below are eight volunteer opportunities. Please rank the items you would like to volunteer for. For more information about each item, see the descriptions above.
